Hi, I’m Gina — founder of Be Well Nourished, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), and Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner.
My path to this work began with my own health journey — years of frustrating symptoms, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, and emotional burnout that traditional medicine couldn’t fully explain. After trying countless approaches, I discovered the value of looking deeper — identifying underlying imbalances through functional testing and using nutrition, and targeted supplements and therapies to support true healing. I began uncovering things that standard labs missed — like hidden infections, digestive issues, nutrient deficiencies, and hormones that were either declining or out of optimal range, all of which were holding my body back from recovering.
Now, I help women uncover the root causes of their symptoms and feel confident in their health again. I offer personalized support grounded in science — using tools like functional blood chemistry analysis and gut testing to get clear answers, not just manage symptoms.
Together, we create a practical, step-by-step plan that helps you feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally — so you can get back to feeling like yourself again.

Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (often referred to as NTPs) are certified through the Nutritional Therapy Association. NTPs are a little different in their philosophy regarding nutrition and health compared to many others in the nutrition field. NTPs take a foundational, individual, and holistic approach to wellness that focuses on the importance of a properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole-foods diet paired with a well-balanced lifestyle.
A one size fits all approach to nutrition does not exist. We focus on bio-individuality principles, recognizing that each person has unique nutritional needs based on their genetics, activity level, lifestyle, and health conditions. When we give our bodies the nutrients it needs and support the foundations (see below), we tap into our body’s innate ability to heal.
We believe that many of modern society’s health problems result from weaknesses in the body’s physiological functions brought on by poor nutrition, environmental toxins, and other lifestyle factors. NTPs focus on the root causes of health dysfunction, rather than just addressing symptoms. Often while addressing the root cause, clients will find that other symptoms they did not realize were connected will begin to improve. For example, if a client comes in complaining of digestive issues and works to address them with nutritional therapy, they may also find that their mood has improved, and their skin is clearer.
It is never too soon or too late to take the next steps to better health. Many health problems can be prevented by addressing nutrition and lifestyle now.
What is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner?
The Foundations of Health
Nutrition, digestion, blood sugar regulation, fatty acid balance, mineral balance, and hydration are the foundations your body depends on to thrive. When any of these areas are out of balance, it can impact everything from your energy and hormones to immune function, cardiovascular health, and more. Most chronic symptoms are linked, in some way, to disruptions in these essential foundations.
-
Eating a properly prepared, nutrient dense, whole foods diet lays the foundation for optimal health. Nutrient density refers to foods with high concentrations of macro and micronutrients. Macronutrients are proteins, healthy fats, and carbohydrates. While micronutrients are vitamins and minerals. Your body needs a balanced mix of both to function well, support energy, and feel its best.
-
You could be eating the most nutrient-dense diet, but if your body isn’t digesting properly, you won’t fully benefit from it. Good digestion is essential because it’s how your body breaks down food and absorbs nutrients needed for every function. Key factors like eating in a relaxed (parasympathetic) state, having enough stomach acid, digestive enzymes, and healthy bile flow all play a role. Many people need support in one or more of these areas to improve their digestion and overall health.
Immune Health
Around 70% of the immune system is located in the gut, which is why digestive health and immune function are so closely connected. Your digestive system is part of your body’s first line of defense. A healthy gut environment - complete with healthy terrain, gut flora, and intact gut lining, help your immune system stay resilient and responsive.Endocrine Health
Your endocrine system is made up of several organs called glands. These glands, located all over your body, create and secrete (release) hormones - chemical messengers that regulate everything from metabolism and mood to energy and reproduction. Hormone balance depends heavily on proper digestion and nutrient absorption. When digestion is compromised your body may not get the key nutrients it needs like zinc, magnesium, and B vitamins, that are essential for healthy hormone production and function.Detoxification
While it’s important to minimize exposure to toxins, your body is naturally equipped with powerful detoxification systems - primarily through the liver, gut, kidneys, and lymphatic system. Supporting these systems starts with good digestion. When your digestive tract is functioning well, it helps eliminate waste efficiently and supports the liver’s ability to filter and remove toxins. A healthy gut is one of the best ways to support your body’s natural detox pathways.Cardiovascular Health
Your cardiovascular system - made up of your heart, blood, and blood vessels delivers oxygen and nutrients to every organ and tissue in your body. For this system to function well, your body needs a steady supply of nutrients and low levels of inflammation. A healthy gut plays a role by supporting balanced cholesterol levels, reducing systemic inflammation, and promoting overall heart and vessel health.Nervous System
The nervous system is a complex network that sends messages between the brain, spinal cord, and the rest of the body. It plays a vital role in nearly every function -including digestion. Digestion is a “north to south” process that actually begins in the brain. Many key digestive functions, like saliva production and stomach acid release, depend on the parasympathetic nervous system -your body’s “rest and digest” mode. When you’re calm and relaxed, your body is better able to break down and absorb nutrients. -
Balanced blood sugar is essential for steady energy, clear thinking, and overall health. It plays a vital role in nearly every system of the body - from hormone balance and brain function to the integrity of your tissues and blood vessels. When blood sugar is well regulated, your body can produce energy efficiently and maintain stability throughout the day, helping you feel more focused, calm, and resilient.
-
Despite outdated beliefs, your body needs a high percentage of diverse, high-quality fats to function at its best. Fatty acids are essential building blocks of every cell membrane and play a key role in reducing inflammation. One of the most important factors is maintaining a healthy balance between omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids—an imbalance in this ratio can drive chronic inflammation and affect overall health.
-
Minerals are essential for maintaining the structure and function of the body. Because we can’t produce them ourselves, we must get them through our diet. These micronutrients play a wide range of vital roles—from helping transport nutrients across cell membranes and supporting muscle contraction to regulating nerve signals, building strong bones, guiding tissue growth, and acting as cofactors in countless enzyme reactions. Without adequate minerals, the body’s foundational processes can’t function properly.
-
Hydration is one of the most overlooked yet essential foundations of health. Water is the most important nutrient in the body - every cell depends on it. It supports digestion, cushions joints, regulates body temperature, and helps maintain proper electrical activity in your cells. Drinking enough clean water each day is one of the simplest ways to support your overall well-being.
